New apps on your BMW screen
iDrive 7 can run apps that do not come from BMW. They show what the engine is doing in real time, time your acceleration and braking, and read fault codes from the modules, right on the car screen, without a phone or an OBD dongle.
The apps are open source, made by enthusiasts. We install and configure them on compatible cars, in person or remotely.
M Vitals
RPM, boost, oil, coolant and intake temperatures, power and torque, all live, read from the car’s own sensors.

Drag Timer and Virtual Dyno
Drag Timer measures 0-100 km/h, 100-200 km/h and the quarter mile. Virtual Dyno draws the power and torque curve from a pull. The values are software estimates and do not replace a real dyno.

G-Force, Brake Test, Redline
G-Force shows the friction circle and peak values. Brake Test measures 100-0 braking distance. Redline puts shift lights on the screen.
Fault Scanner and eDrive
Fault Scanner reads fault codes from the car’s modules. eDrive is for hybrids: real electric range and battery health.

MGU Store
An app store on the car screen. Install, update and remove apps from GitHub sources or a USB stick. It is an open-source project (GPL-3.0) by Robert Nisipeanu, not a BMW product.

FAQ
Do I need internet in the car?+
The telemetry apps work offline. For updates from MGU Store you need a connection or a USB stick.
How do I know if I have iDrive 7?+
Cars with two separate screens usually have iDrive 7; one curved screen means iDrive 8. Send us the VIN and we will check.
See what your BMW can do
Send us the model, year and, if you have it, the VIN. We will tell you honestly what works on your car, in person or remotely.
