BMW coding on iDrive 7, with features you will not find in the menu

Most "BMW coding" means flipping a few settings with a phone app. We do something else: we add new features to the iDrive 7 head unit (MGU). Waze directions in the cluster behind the wheel, apps that show what the engine is doing in real time and, on some xDrive cars, the option to disconnect the front axle.

We work on G-series BMWs, mostly built from 2019 onwards, in person or remotely over an ENET cable. Before promising anything, we look at your car: the head unit, the cluster and the software version.

What we can enable

Which BMW models

What matters is the head unit, not just the year. We focus on cars with iDrive 7 and an MGU unit (Live Cockpit Professional):

How it works

What stays untouched

BMW navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, cameras, parking sensors and the original menus all stay. The new apps are added to the car’s app menu.

FAQ

Does it work on iDrive 8 or the curved display?+

iDrive 8 and 8.5 have a different architecture and different software protection. Some features cannot be enabled there, which is why we check every car.

How do I know if I have iDrive 7?+

Cars with two separate screens (cluster and central display) usually have iDrive 7; one curved screen means iDrive 8. Send us the VIN and we will check.

How much does it cost?+

It depends on the car and the features you choose. Send us the model and year and we will tell you what is possible and the price.

See what your BMW can do

Send us the model, year and, if you have it, the VIN. We will tell you honestly what works on your car, in person or remotely.
